Experienced, established, specialised
Our optical factory showroom was first established on 1st March 2005 at Team Valley, Gateshead. The company was set up with the idea of giving customers an alternative, cost-effective way of purchasing the best eyewear possible.
The owner, Alan Gallagher, has served the optical industry for over 30 years. Over this time he has acquired extensive knowledge in the field. Alan would like to put his experience to good use, inviting you to benefit from our generous discounted offers.
What shape glasses are best for my face shape?
Face colouring and face shape are the two most important factors to consider when selecting your frames. To do this we recommend the following as a general rule of thumb regarding the shape of your face:
Rectangular glasses for round faces (avoid round frames).
Oval or round glasses for rectangular faces (avoid rectangular frames).
Long faces should avoid narrow glasses.
Short faces should avoid high glasses.
Oval faces are generally not restricted.
The frame colour should be chosen to match skin and hair tone, eye, clothing and jewellery colours. Ultimately your choice of colour comes down to what you are comfortable with as well as personal taste.
The right glasses lenses will complete your satisfaction
Modern lenses are now made from different plastics which are much lighter and harder to break than the traditional glass lenses.
All these factors help, but choosing a lens to suit your prescription is equally important. Take a look through our lenses guide and you can't go wrong.
